Voltaire's Lament
Album: "Winter Air"

Leave El Dorado and fall into gravity,
Over the mountains of the moon.
Amble over the bridges of humanity.
Home we will be very soon.
Leavin’ El Dorado I got stuck in the pine.
And, when I got to, I can make up my mind.
Here’s my advice. It’s made just for you.
No one else may, but I see through you.
Exit simple pleasure and return to neglect,
Beyond the shadows of the light.
Travel toward the gates of self respect.
Do what the world says is right.
Leavin’ El Dorado I got stuck in the pine.
And, when I got to, I can make up my mind.
Here’s my advice. It’s made just for you.
No one else may, but I see through you.
Love ‘cause I got to and just know my place.
Sing for when I get to die.
Ignore the world and the human race.
Live with the clouds up in the sky.
Leavin’ El Dorado I got stuck in the pine.
And, when I got to, I can make up my mind.
Here’s my advice. It’s made just for you.
No one else may, but I see through you.
